Get Prepared For Screening

From Canadian Air Transport Security

Travelling soon? Follow these packing tips for a smooth airport screening experience:

1.LAGs (Liquids, Aerosols and Gels)
• Only travel size containers (100ml or less) are permitted in carry-on.
• All items must fit comfortably in a maximum 1L clear, closed, resealable plastic bag.

2. Food
• Solid foods are good to go!
• Foods that can be spread, spilled or poured (like yogurt or peanut butter) must follow LAGs guidelines.

3. Electronics
• Remove laptops and larger electronics from your bag and place each one in a separate bin for separate screening.
• Place small electronics (phones, tablets) in your carry-on bag.

4. Batteries
• Place all batteries and electronic devices containing batteries in your carry-on bag.
• Consult your airline before packing batteries.

5. Medication
• Pack all medication in your carry-on bag and place it in an easy-to-access area.
• We recommend that prescription medication be kept in original containers.
• The 100 ml liquid rule does not apply to prescription and essential non- prescription medication.

6. Gifts
• Keep them unwrapped – they may need to be inspected.
